I have the Fluval long and narrow 5 gallon tank and it is difficult to find a top. We had to get a better top because my male king betta, Cosmo (in pic), jumped out through the large middle gap in the original lid and onto the hard floor 3 ft below! I think he was after a piece of food sitting on top of the clear lid. Luckily, we found him right away and he didn’t seem injured, and has since been normal weeks later. But we had to get a cover to prevent it from happening again. It’s a little tricky measuring and cutting the right size, which is expected when you’re customizing something. Now that it’s fitted, it looks great and is easy to remove when I need to. The only thing I don’t like is how large the clips are, but at least they’re clear and function well. I love that they allow the top to nestle just inside the tank ledge instead of on top. Very nice feature!
