A common issue that ariseswith Elodea Densa is when the stem bases turn yellow and begin to rot. This is common and is usually to do with a lack of light reaching the base of the stems. When this happens perhaps consider upgrading to a slightly more powerful light or just cut the base of the stem up to where the rot ends and replant. Elodea Densa is perfect oxygenator because of it’s quick growth and high photosynthetic rate.
