AQUANEAT Aquarium Thermometer, Fish Tank Thermometer, Aquarium Digital Temperature Gauge, with Large LCD Display

The listing says within 1 degree celsius accuracy and that seems to be the case if I am assuming that means it should be within 2 degrees fahrenheit. It sits pretty close to another thermometer and gets similar readings. I did want to move it to another location on the tank to see how big of a difference it’d be in temp but ran into problems.The device needs to be stuck to the glass on the tank for the little sensor to make contact with the glass. The tape does a great job of securing this thermometer to the glass and keeping it secured… maybe too well? I went to remove the unit to place it by another electronic thermostat in my tank but the tape was not cooperating and was pulling off the device rather than the glass. Outside of not being able to get other temperature data points out of curiosity, I don’t know how I would feel trying to change the battery and having the tape ‘ruined’ when trying to remove this device. On a similar note, I like to shuffle my tanks around periodically and if I moved the tank and wanted to move this device to a different spot on the tank, same problem.This is just my experience so far, could probably be solved with a magnet that goes inside of the tank and allows the device to move freely without actually sticking to the tank. I am keeping this on my tank as a backup thermostat especially in case of a power outage, I’ll update in the future when it actually comes time to remove this to replace the battery.
